In honor of this auspicious occasion, I have decided to give you a gift. Not a huge, expensive one, mind you. But what did you expect? Did you think to get me anything? Didn't think so. You'll take this and like it:
First impressions can be distracting.

Care to lighten your wallet?
So... first MFE opens up a ReBoot Store through CafePress. Then word gets out that Anchor Bay will be releasing Season IV on DVD. In fact, it's already available for pre-order.
Somebody finally figured it out! ReBoot fans, despite being left for dead in a ditch by the side of the road by most parties involved, are not actually dead. And they're sitting in that ditch with their credit cards.
So buy, buy, BUY if you've got to get your hands on all that exciting new ReBoot stuff. Or don't, if you'd rather sit in the ditch acting indignant.
These are the kind of ethical dilemmas you want to have.

These are a few of my Dottiest things...
Since it is apparently Dot Matrix Month and I happen to like Dot, I thought I'd take a moment to post links to a few of the Dot things on AMG.
There's Dot's first appearance on The Bob Squad. And if you're not into that, there's always Dot's first appearance on the Bob Squad.
Dot shows up in almost everything that's part of the "read" section, but she actually stars in the reeling semi-feminist tale known as "Bein' the Command.Com" (co-authored with Julia_Cat).
Maybe it isn't immediately obvious, but Dot's also important in the I'm a Believer music video.
You can download the "Shut up and let me think!" desktop-- it's still one of my all-time favorites.
Craft-wise, there's the brand new Polka Dot Paper Lantern. Other Dot-related crafts include Dot by Numbers, Paper Doll Dot, and the Faux Gingerbread Diner.
Or, if you like Dot enough that certain parts of Season IV caused you to go into convulsions, you can relive the horror by revisiting Overanalysis Theatre: Null Bot of the Bride.
And if all else fails, you can just send a digital postcard featuring Dot. Enjoy!

Interview
Q It's been, like, a really long time since you updated or posted on the message board. Where were you?
A None of your business.
Q Oh. Are you okay, though?
A Yep. Thanks for asking.
Q Did you miss us?
A I thought about you every day.
Q Really?
A Really.
Q Cool.
A It's what I do.
Q So... Since the groundhog saw its shadow, does that mean six more weeks of updates?
A Something like that. I'll be doing what I can. I've definitely got stuff, it's just a matter of posting it.
Q What kind of stuff?
A You sure you wanna know? You wouldn't rather be surprised?
Q Hmm...
A Take your time.
Q Just give me a hint.
A Heavy on the crafts. I planned and made a craft series for this site's last birthday. Since I missed the birthday (and then the half-birthday), maybe I can just dole 'em out over the next few weeks as I'm able. It can be a super-belated kind of deal.
Q And then what?
A And then we'll see what happens. My goal is to stick around for ReBoot's rapidly approaching tenth anniversary. Plus there's some stuff I want to get wrapped up before I'm really ready to leave this whole crazy gig behind.
Q And then?
A You worry too much.
Q Fine, fine... It's just because I care.
A I know. Now, is that all you wanted to ask? Because I hear they're getting all "The Monsters Are Due On Maple Street" over at the forum.
Q Oh, right! Last question-- what was the deal with the ticking egg?
A Hey, you're a smart kid. I'm sure you'll figure it out in no time.
Q Did you just use the word "time" to mess with me, or is it a clue?
A You already used up your last question.

Hello, I'm a placeholder.
Let's see how long I stay here, shall we? Maybe it'll be forever! Neat!
