Bubble Bracelet
I don't know how Martha Stewart (okay, Martha Stewart's writing staff) does it. I'm quickly running out of good intro blurbs for my ReBoot craft projects.
Sooo... This one's a bracelet. Read the instructions. Look at the pictures. It's a good thing.

YOU'LL NEED:

  • pictures of your favorite ReBoot characters
  • color printer
  • ½" circle hole punch
  • clear glass "decorative gems" (aka "flat marbles")
  • clear silicone sealant
  • bolo slides
  • stretchy beading cord
  • crimp beads and pliers (optional)

INSTRUCTIONS:

1. Print out a picture of your favorite ReBoot character. You want their face to be around ½" wide when printed, so adjust the image size as necessary.

2. Punch out the ReBoot character's face. (With the hole punch. Not your fist.)

3. Glue the punched-out face to the flat side of a decorative gem with a small amount of silicone sealant. The rounded side of the gem will distort the image, making the face look all nifty and bubbly. Let the sealant set before you move on to the next step.

4. A bolo slide has two metal loops for threading cord through. With sealant, glue the bolo slide to the flat side of the decorative gem. The loops on the bolo slide need to be behind the top and bottom of the character's face.

5. Repeat steps 1-4 with other characters until you've created all the bubbles you want for your bracelet. Let the sealant set on all of the pieces.

6. Cut two equally long pieces of stretchy beading cord. They should be long enough to go around your wrist, with some extra length for tying off.

7. Thread one piece of beading cord through all the bolo slide loops behind the tops of characters' faces. Thread the other piece of beading cord through all the lower loops.

putting it all together

8. Bring both ends of one cord together and tie them with a square knot or attach them with a crimp bead. Repeat for the other cord.

9. Cut off any excess cord.

10. Wear your bracelet!

Of course, Martha might've made her own glass...
