Reboot. It is the name of the first completely computer animated TV series. It is the most creative and intriguing show I have ever seen. The show, especially during season 3, contributes a sense of meaning to my life, our lives. The majority of humankind is ignorant but this does not phase me. They would be blinded by Reboot. I personally have edited (for my own enjoyment) over 70 fanfics. Reboot, I believe, has inspired the movie Toy Story. You should go to the site (http://www.anotheruniverse.com/animation/animatedshorts/animatedshorts090597.html) Yes I will admit I imagine myself as a Reboot character and I do thrive and spend all my spare time searching and editing fanfics. I do plan to make a webpage to see how much I can contribute to the world through the world of a computer. Reboot is a mark in history the world, as well as us humans, should appreciate.

ReBoot: Our Last Hope
By: Page Down

Imagine a world without ReBoot. There would be no reason to cry over cartoons. There would be no interesting people on the Internet. We'd be stuck with a bunch of computer loving geeks. With ReBoot, we have computer loving, goofheads. The geeks are still there, but they've learned to live a little.

If ReBoot weren't in some of our lives we'd be boring monotone creatures who don't know the true meaning of sage advice and angst filled renegades.

I bet that if Hitler had watched ReBoot, he'd have realized that he's not a member of some super race, he's just as weird as that blue guy. Maybe he wouldn't have done those cruel things. He would have spent his time painting his face blue and finding the perfect silver hair dye. Imagine the lives that could have been saved! Imagine the pain and suffering that could have been prevented!

I'm sure that at least one person, has saved themselves from becoming the person they hate most by watching Matrix spare Megabytes ascii. That person would've never been happy, ever, living with themselves if they'd become that monster they hated so badly. What if that person goes on to find the cure for the common cold? If they had become that horrible creature they wouldn't have the goodness inside them to find the cure. We could be going around with stuffy noses forever just because there was no ReBoot.

If the countries of the world knew of the pain and suffering that went on during the Web World War maybe, we could realize that what we really want is world peace. we may realize that in war, no one wins. Wouldn't it be great if the world leaders watched ReBoot? It's our only way to ensure a future!

If you notice, all of the couples in ReBoot are truly loyal. Wish the USA had a loyal lover for a president. He's obviously never watched ReBoot. I think that the USA would be run better by him if he were loyal. We could be saved from a whole lot of stupid decisions that are made to try and cover up Clinton's boo boos. He should watch some ReBoot.

But the biggest thing we need ReBoot for is Y2K. When the buggy hits we're gonna need all the sprites and binomes we can get to do their job and help us through the crisis. Without ReBoot there would be no sprites and binomes. This means the whole world could come crashing down to our ankles. We could all die! There would be no computer help, meaning no power, food, money or anything else! We'd be dead! Dead I say! Of course we have ReBoot so life will go on. We will live. We will have a future. Besides that the future is looking brighter, with ReBoot setting an example for all to live by. Mankind will survive another day.

The year is 2010. The Net has been shut down, video tape sales are down. The economy has collapsed. The reason?? ReBoot was cancelled. If we allow CN to cancel ReBoot ever... who knows what will happen.

You see, several major industries rely on ReBoot. The glasses industry would plummet if Nerdy Binome didnąt exist. Dotąs eyelashes inspired the fake eyebrow. If people didnąt tape season 3, the bottom would fall out of the VCR tape business. Heck, if ReBoot didnąt exist, the world would be forced into depression because all of the interesting people on the net are ReBoot fans!!! So, I encourage you all to fight for ReBoot Forever!!

As any completely and totally obsessed fan knows, ReBoot is just too good to pass up. For me, if I go for a week without watching it, or talking about it, or going on a mailing list about it... (basically if I'm in the woods for a week alone) I go insane. Everyone on this blue (mmmm.... blue...) little planet should know of its existence and build a shrine to it. I mean... who do *you* see everyday who's BLUE? And has a supercool keytool that can do anything in the blink of an eye? And besides. It's been proven that ReBoot fans are more interesting than those poor, poor ReBoot-deprived creatures.  Without ReBoot, In would be a boring, heartless person... *siiiigh* If I were the last person on Earth, all I'd need would be my ReBoot tapes to keep me happy. Oh yeah. That and my ReBoot wall :)

And if you want to take ReBoot obsession to a whole new level, visit my fanfic archive.

Your honour, I rest my case

What does ReBoot mean? To you? To me? To us all? It means freedom! It means individuality! It means the future!! Without ReBoot, there would be no life. There would be no world. And most of all, there would be no weirdoes! ReBoot is the very base of our lives. Where else would we find our inner peace and healing? Or our obsessions? Or our source of insanity? These are all very important assets... Can you honestly agree that we don't need ReBoot? That we don't long for ReBoot? No! So I say to you, the people... GO! Rise up from your boredom! Rise up from your remorse! Watch ReBoot! Watch ReBoot and save yourself! Save the world! Save the future of ALL MANKIND!!!!            *Buzzy passes out*

Essay #6
Author: Seiya Matrix

In the world of cartoons little has been done to match the adult maturity displayed in episodes of ReBoot, along with the technology and realism used. In this essay, I hope to prove how much ReBoot isdisplaying the dialogues and hopes of the future, along with the aspects of human character.

First off, the characters in ReBoot are often more real characters than developed in other "inferior" yet popular cartoons such as the reched "Puke-ey-mon" and the horrifying "Batman Beyond". Our children are ourfuture and if they can view quality programming with moral lessons, entertainment value, and meaning, they most likely will be able to grow up to give future generations a ReBoot of their own.

ReBoot also displays the coming of age of technology in cartoons. Without ReBoot, Toy Story would not have arrived and kicked off the greatdigital movement in animation, never spawning a Toy Story 2, or a Bug's Life, or Ants, or anything like that. Those movies would be consideredimpossible, and wouldn't exist. ReBoot, in grounding the form of compute animation, has opened the door for new technology and information in the next ages of society.

ReBoot also teaches tolerance, such as Binomes living with Sprites in piece and harmony, and bad guys often joining together with Bob and the guardian team if Mainframe is at steak. It allows for children of this world to learn an acceptance of differences in society and beyond without having to experience the hatred themselves before they learn. There are no clearcut "evil" and "good" in this show, which shows a greater understanding of what the human character should truly be like. A person should not write one off as an evil or good person, just like that... one must realize that there are chances for redemption, and there are chances for falling, and ReBoot helps start that off at an early age.

For older children, ReBoot helps teach about the computer in a fun and meaningful way. I will often find a child of about 10 years of age who can explain ROM to me better than the man who works at the Computer Information desk at Best Buy, and when I ask them why, they will tell me ReBoot. This is something for the next generation... a greater understanding of slangs and terms today will mean for a better computer driven society in the future.

Along with that, ReBoot preaches the imperfection of life as well. People die... people change, people are bitter, resentful. It shows all aspects of a character, no one is completely cheery at all times constantly. No one is anguished at all times constantly. ReBoot teaches the next generation this by offering multi-faceted characters such as Dot who is plagued by demons of the past in Season 3, or Matrix, who has so many emotional problems you cannot begin to count.

There is more, so much more, including why "Miss Kitty" doesn't own the saloon, but for now, my fellow geeklings, this is why ReBoot... is the hope... for the future.

Reboot. Some say it's just a show. But its not, it is a way of life. It inspires. ReBoot has inspired a great Internet community, which out with many would be bored. That boredom could lead to the rebootniks acting out, getting into trouble. But they don't, because they have ReBoot. The community itself is a triumph. For instance, community members, for the most part, do not fight  - do not bicker over petty things. The fans get along; it is hope for all humanity. If the many diverse fans can unite, maybe others can in time learn. ReBoot is the glue of the universe, without it - all would be lost. BOOTNIKS UNITE! Together we can save the world!

EXTRA-CREDIT BONUS ESSAY QUESTION:
By: Jet (Cassie)

In 100+ words, please describe why you feel ReBoot represents the last hope for the future of humankind.

Why does ReBoot represent the last hope for the future of humankind? This question is one of the many ReBoot related questions that need to be answered.  The CGI show ReBoot is a very good example to represent our future. This question and more will be answered after reading this.  A good answer can be derived from how it represents this and who will be involved, but we will also see how true ReBoot fans don't need an essay to know the truth. Like in the real world, ReBoot is the ongoing battle between the forces of good and evil.  Without this ongoing fight against evil, what hope do we have left?  What would our world today look like without the many battles of the past won to protect mankind.  What would Mainframe look like today with out the many battles fought between the Guardians and the Viruses to protect the citizens of Mainframe?  As many can clearly see, this closeness between ReBoot and the real world is a good example of the question at hand. But that is not all that needs to be said.

Who is going to protect our world of the future and Mainframe's future? In every fight there is the one on the field and the ones behind the scenes, the commander and the soldier.  On the battlefields in Eastern Europe during WWII, many battles were fought on what called "The Western Front." During these battles in the earthen trenches men were sent out to fight the onslaught of the German forces, but who sent these orders?  The commanders and generals, these men sent out the orders of what to do.  Now in the world of Mainframe what happens when the viruses attack?  The Guardian's rush to fight and the command.com sits and comes up with a plan. In the first season of ReBoot, Bob always rushes off the fight the viruses.  Now when season two rolls around, Dot comes up with plans for Enzo so he can reach the games. So, now that who has been explained one more thing must be acquired.

Are you a true ReBoot fan or not?  If you are, you don't need a reason to know that ReBoot represents the future of humankind it is just a gut feeling. Most true fans live and breath ReBoot, they spend hours watching tapes they've recorded and browsing sites on the Net.  To these fans ReBoot is a way of life and they live it every day.  So, what would happen to the thousands and thousands of fans if ReBoot was canceled, for good?  It would be the end of the world to them, the end of the life they live, and there would be no future for mankind.  If there was no ReBoot there would be no reason to write this essay, so let us give thanks for the wonderful glory of ReBoot.

ReBoot is a great, terrific, and wonderful way to represent the last hope for the future of humankind.  The question that was asked has been answered and now we all know the truth. It was gathered from looking into how it represents this and who will be involved, and we now see how true ReBoot fans don't need an essay to know the truth. In ending this, let me just say thanks for taking the time to read this essay.

ReBoot wil help the future of technology and science.  For starters, it has made people wonder "hey, is there really things like this going on in my computer?"  I, I know, have already tried to figure that out.  Since I have proved to myself, yes, I have encouraged others to try and find out.  I know that if scietists prove it, they will find ways to get into a computer.  It will raise technology highly!  From larning this, we might find ways to exelerate in other types of technology, all inspired by this! Users, Sprites, and Binomes will live together! Systems will get better upgrades! All becuase of ReBoot.  Thank the user for it!

"Why does ReBoot represent the last hope for the future of humankind? Discuss."
by Koani

*What you are experiencing is a temporary distortion of reality...*

"Glitch!  Auto-response!"

Chirp chirp cheepy...chirpy cheep cheepy...chip chip chirp squeak...chirp...squeak.

Oo-er!  I forgot most sprites can't understand 'toolspeak.  I shall try to explain...

Often my name is AndrAIa...you may wonder what I'm doing with Glitch, but I just stole him from Bob for my own use.  I have long hair that is sometimes blonde but is usually heavily gelled and dyed blue.  The last guy I went out with was tall, dark and green adn scarred - he still won't speak to me.  I suppose attacking him with the loo-roll trident to complete the picture with a scar across the eye was going a little too far - I should've really stopped with the green highlighter.  Still  - I learn from my mistakes...it is what makes me such an able adversary.

My format?  To mend and defend.  To mend the ways of the people in this strange and warped system I inhabit...they say there are no sprites in my computer, and try to imprison and oppress me.  They have tried bribery, resorting to giving me a lovely white coat to wear with big silver buckles (I laughed in their faces, hah!  That will not convince me!).  To Defend...to defend sprites and binomes everywhere from the wrath of the evil users, the mass-murderers who play wicked games, deleting harmless little green (and blue) men.

The sprites in my system think they are so wonderful - they attack each other with guns and bullets and fire and stuffed voles and butterknives...but I know that in the real world sprites do not fight unless they must, and will not fight evil by becoming that which they supposedly stand against - that thought alone keeps me well...dear brother!! Hahahahah!!!!

Do not sully the name of Bob and the gang, or I shall tear you apart once I am free of this wretched system!  You have no idea the power you try to control!  Chaos will always triumph over order!  It is the way of things!  All you ingnorant fools who laugh and think that the system of Mainframe has no relevance to your world will soon be convinced! Liberation for the followers of the true faith (REBOOT!!) is nigh!  In this world, there is hatred, and prejudice - a lot of it borne of the colour of a sprites flesh...if we were all multicoloured, there would be an end to violence and war!  We could get rid of nuclear weapons and chemical warfare!  And this is my aim...to locate this system's paint programme and go through each and every one of these sprites, painting them a different colour!  My problem is...well, they say such a paint programme exists...outside our system...no-one knows for sure, but I intend to find out!  The confusion would prevent further suffering, and everyone would realise that to survive and not lose innocent lives, we must adapt to our surroundings - learn to cope, help each other and not fight needlessly - before we all blow ourselves up!  ReBoot!

In conclusion, I would like to say that when I have achieved my objectives and gained control of this system and its' resources, I will make it compulsory to watch at least 7 hours of ReBoot/day and impersonate one ReBoot character every week - except Megabyte, he's MINE!!!  So everyone take your place at my feet and prepare for the next level of play in the ultimate battle - converting disbelievers to ReBoot-dom!!

My ReBoot Geek Essay

Binomes, sprites, guardians, and codemasters lend me your ears!! I have something you must hear. Sine ReBoot is the first fully computer animated show that means it should go down in history as the best most provacative and meaningful in the history of television history. When something bad happens to one of the characters your heart aches with their pain and you feel as if you are the one who is suffering. The characters have such depth to them and you feel like they are some of your oldest friends. I say we bring ReBoot back for a fourth season to save all of our bitmaps from our parents who yell at us to get away from the computer do we want our vision to get bad? No, we don't!!! So let us be stuck to the television where we belong, recording ReBoot episodes and watching them over and over. Please save our beloved ReBoot before Y2K!! ( who knows what will really happen but just to be safe)

That is all I have to say about that except ReBoot kicks ASCII!!!!

[Note from MG to this person: I tried to get your award to you, but never heard back from you. Contact me if you want it.]

I will point out the facts the make me believe Reboot is required to have humankind continue on with there existence. Reboot was the first ever animated show to master the skills of CGI animation. Reboot is the key for man to achieve a high technological level of advancement. Consider Starwars for a second. The idea of using lasers and having objects orbit a planet for offensive and defensive purposes was never considered till this movie was made. In the 80's and 90's Regan and Bush both helped fund the "StarWars Defense System" Which incorporated Class 6 Helium Solar Charged Lasers <for all you that don't know lasers are divided up into classes 1-10. 1 causing no damage and has a very short range <millimeters> 10 causing mass destruction and deadly infrared radiation which probably kill more people than Hiroshima> that would protect us from incoming nuclear missiles or aircraft <Yeah right govt. uses it for offensive purposes> A public announcement was made that the laser defense system was canceled but unknown to public we now have a satellite orbiting our planet with 500megaton nukes. <don't ask how I know just trust me> Back on topic <kinda> Well consider the episode firewall. They set up a containment/protection system that emitted a deadly energy that created a barrier around the infected sectors containing the viral and keeping the rest of the system safe...<kinda> This is an idea that we must have along with flying police units and portals that can transport you anywhere in the world. Technology came not from the minds of scientist but from the minds of dreamers and authors. 1000 Leagues under the sea was made before the first sub ever came into existence. Computers were dreamed up before they existed, same with tv and so on and so on. This proves a point. Fiction may become Fact. Reboot may become Our world before you know it and if this show is cancelled..it would mean the end of or technological existence...and we may revert to apes or even worse.....People who collect pokemon cards and dolls.

[Note from MG: This was a group effort, but that was okay by me in this case.]

We (Central Command) sat here long and hard trying to decide an answer to this essay. We each have a different one so we'll list each idea since we are a family we shouldn't have a problem with this.

Reboot is like a computer animated insite to what our future may look like. Except I don't thinks binomes will be there. I could actual imagine living in Kits sector with a huge eightball above our heads, spinning. The idea is much better than the one of the world ending.

Reboot keeps us sane. We live in a house full of reboot lovers and would murder each other if reboot didn't keep us together, its the only thing my grandparents say can unite us. Reboot shows unity that if everyone in the world took an example to it would be possible.

Everyone needs a Guardian, considering how the world is. I think having a guardian to protect us from the viral trash would be an ideal idea. It would keep us safe and probably make life easier but I think the whole academy would be used in this world

We have a Frisket a very protective dog that followed us home. Everyone needs a frisket to let us know when the Megabytes of the world are. Also it hints truth at time and its funny. We can relate to Enzo and Matrix forced to grow up without parental guidance.

I can't see a world not having reboot. For months watching Reboot has made me happy I have seen the entire three series at least 50 times. I would cry the day Reboot went off air. Missing Reboot bothers me. I've be a obessed fan since it came on ABC. I never missed an episode I would wake up at 6 to make sure I didn't. Also the words I take from the show completely confuses the people who don't know Reboot...I like watching them look completely lost when I tell them they have gone completely Random or Viral.

ReBoot is essential for the hope of mankind because we as users in a society such as today revolve around computers, nothing is done the 'old fashioned way'. Through ReBoot, we are actually learning more about our computers, and with a combination of brute strength and true wisdom may we overcome all viruses, whether they be in the real world or simply in our computers. It teaches us how we should deal with our emotions, , that hatred and anger should never be kept in and kindled. There is always a happy ending, as long as one endures. We also learn that heroes are just normal sprites, unless they merge with their keytool.

To The MG
A ReBoot Essay Effort

ReBoot. Who could think that this could affect so many lives today. Who would imagine that one show, the very first fully-computer-generated one to air, change so many lives.
Hm? What? You don't believe ReBoot's saved any souls or changed any lives? Well, let me tell *you* something! ReBoot is essential to the very fabric of our measily existence today! That's right, ReBoot is essential to the future of human kind as we know it.
If we were without ReBoot, we'd have nothing to watch but "Sponge Bob Square Pants" and "Teletubbies". That alone is enough to degrade the mind of every being upon this planet. ReBoot on the other hand, teaches the difference between good programming and programming that's just plain dull. People's minds no longer are forced to drink in the sights of Magic Bags or talking sea sponges with sea otters for mates. They can watch a witty show with amusing puns and brilliant characters. Their minds' creative nerves will be pricked, and fanfic and fanart and websights and chatgroups shall emerge bright and beautiful. This in turn will entertain so many others who are unable to enjoy ReBoot in all its splendor, thereby spreading this creative edge upon all those who've only had the opportunity to watch bad programming. But through the internet, the creative urge shall pread, and yet more fanatic creations will be seen across the globe. The world as a whole will benefit from the source of all of this. ReBoot. It shall spread to as far as China, and loop around two times over.
And in the future, there will of course be more and more children growing into adults, and as they discover the world of television, so too shall they discover the world within, known as the internet. They too will know the joy of watching a truly magnificent masterpiece such as ReBoot, and if not, then they will know the joy of seeing all it has influenced. Being perfectly human, they will wish to imitate the craze of ReBoot, perhaps some of them being pixelatious writers, creating fanfic, or if they be alphaneumeric artists, creating ReBoot-related masterpieces.
From all this, people will discover their creative sides, and maybe some of the ReBoot-inspired creators will take up jobs as computer repair men, website designers, artists, writers, environmental activists, etc. The list goes on forever.
Well, you now know all the benefits of ReBoot, and I've been completely honest with you on why it's an essential program for us and our future. You might even say it's our last creative hope. So I suppose this isn't such a roundabout way of saying this after all I've said. Whatch ReBoot. Know ReBoot. Love ReBoot. It's you only chance at a fun, creative, ReBoot-filled life.

(MG- I'd have gone into how environmentally comforting ReBoot is as well as a good influence to peace-keeping, the cities always being spotless and the sprites always being so benign (usually), but it didn't quite go with what I was trying to say. *shrug* Sometimes, in the firestorm, a few twigs must go unsinged...)

ReBoot: The Future
By: Kiwi Domingo Bleu

Well, just think about it...the future of everything will be computer animated, video Games will be 3D pollygonal instead of 2D sprites, the future of TV cartoons will of course be computer animated, and even life will become partially computer animated, with Vurtural Realitey and holo=deck like things, and where did it all start? ReBoot!! ReBoot was the first fully computer rendered TV series, and of all the others I've seen the quality of ReBoot has been the best-- I never liked the others because I felt that you couldn't show emotion in it, or pain, but you can in ReBoot. So if all the other computer animated series did what ReBoot did, then they would all rule!!! And plus the story of ReBoot is very unique, no one has ever created a world with in your computer, and no one will ever do it again. And plus, who wouldn't like a show where the city they are in as named after the company that made it?

ReBoot:
The last hope for Mankind.
An assay written byt All American Patriotic Patriot Girl
ReBoot is the last hope for mankind. Plain and simple. If ReBoot were not here, The world would be a vastly different place. It would be terrible. ReBoot eduactes in more then one way. It teaches us about computers. How we must be more considerate of other beings, and and how our lives and they way they go can be determined by the actions of a single bieng. Also, It keeps the past alive. Brought to light, are beings of the past. In keeps in memorty famouse people Like the Great, the duke, John whyne. There have been two parodies of him. One on 'Painted Windows'. The other on 'To Mend and Defend." It also remebers two movie classics. Two of th greates movies stars of all time. George Sanders and Betty Davis. By using George Sander's voice for Megabyte, they have kept alive the memory of oone of Hollywoods best villans. And by using Betty Davis for Hexadecimal, they have kept the memory of this wonderful actress alive , too. Also they Keep Alive the Memory of the King, With the Elvis Presly Binome. They preserve for younger generations, The memory of the great tv show 'Star Trek'. The show illastrates good virtues aswell. It instills loyalty in those who watch it. They get a sence of of the meaning of honor and loyalty. They know what it REALLY means when they see it. They see how it should be displayed, how it should be shown. They also show love, and true love. What true love really is. And how to go about it. How to be descrete with it. ReBoot is also a decent show, suitable for all ages 0-1000 and over to watch. In other shows, there is neutidy, Violence, and terrible language. In Reboot there is vertually none. We have been given a gift. ReBoot also give the veiwers a work ethic. Dot is the perfect symbol and role model for the industrious age ahead of us. But It also give us an exellent play ethic, as well. It tells us we have to be considerate of other people. We have to work togather. It teaches us to stay away from the fources of evil, and to work for a greater good. To work to gather, The 'TO MEND AND DEFFEND"' Message reaches out to all. It aslo show people how to get along better. To work togather, to show team spirit. And how to make sacrifices when needed. It's a great show and It has a great message. With out ReBoot the world would be a terrible place. My own life would be emty. It has save one life, the one of the one who is writning this. It may have saved others. ReBoot was there for me when I needed it. And it will always be there. Thank you, Mainframe Ent. Thank you, ReBoot. And thank you to the readers.

There is no life without ReBoot.
Imagine, if you will a world where I cannot obsess about Megabyte (my love! I actually see him in my bedroom, hear his voice over my shoulder, and sometimes feel his arms around me.) If I were unable to vent my emotions on this fine hunk of virus (that brain, those pectorals, that voice, oh my!), I would be busy realizing my dreams of world domination. You would all be bowing and scraping and groveling before me. Therefore, rejoice, ReBoot fans! How else would I spend my time in ways other than working on the millions of projects high school teachers seem to relish giving to students, *just to see their heartbroken faces? How else would I spend my time other than perfecting my Hexadecimalish evil laughter? I mean, what ReBoot fan doesn't wonder what Damien looks like??? I personally think she looks like a giant index finger, but hey, that's my opinion. ReBoot is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you're going to get. Unless you are a typical fan though. And you know what happens in every single episode. Like me. And what the heck would I do on the web other than look at all these web pages and wish that my dad could get some information on web page making. I also have this love-hate relationship with abc. I mean, they showed us Americans the first two seasons. And then we had to wait a zillion years for Cartoon Network to finally pick it up. I *hate* waiting. Well, I can't say anything more than Meggy and Bob are my favorites, and Mouse should shave her head bald and become a mime AND donate her brain to science.

*Okay, not all of my teachers are evil. Just some.

Side note: I've actually made a soap sculpture of Bob :)
by: Jaxx

It is imperitive that all people watch reboot. This maybe the only way to stop the all out annailation of the human and sprite races. Yes, right now, many of us are so hooked that we can't go a day without watching Bob's shower scene at least 6 times a day, but reboot plays a much bigger role in our future. Have you ever read "Artificial Intelligence" an essay by Grant Fjermedal? In it he discuss the end to morality of humans. Within the next 200 years, such technology will be developed as to allow us to make "backups" of our brains onto disks that will be booted up unto an android body when our flesh finally fails. And do you think will be controlling these 'minds and bodies'? Sprites of course! They will be mantaining all the functions (in essence, now they are the users), while guardians like Bob will have an even larger job of protecting us from viruses.

Unfortunately, us humans are very egocentric. Oh come on, how would you feel if some foreign micro being suddenly had the power to kill you or control your every move? Those who haven't watched reboot will be in utter terror, their own ignorance leading to their demise. Horror will erupt on both sides, and the result will be all out warfar, sprite against user. Y2K is just the beginning. While we use weapons like energy nets and circuit breakers, they will assault us from inside, possibly as drastic as screwing up our own nervous systems. Oh, the exorbiant loss of lives, while only a small alliance between Reboot fans and Command.com's stands any chance at ending the chaos. Even then, who's to say if there is a winner?

Thus in closing, unless we spread the ideals of Reboot, all are doomed. We must take a stand and force people to become aware before it is too late. Perhaps someday we can then reach the ultimate goal, simple peace and harmony.

Let's see...ReBoot represents the last hope for humankind because without ReBoot we wouldn't have had Toy Story 1 or Toy Story 2. We wouldn't have Beast Wars, Beast Machines or any other of our second favorite CGI's cartoons! (ReBoot being our first, of course)
Without ReBoot we wouldn't feel abnormal as soon as we see Hexidecimal. Without ReBoot Eiffel 65 would never have made their hit single 'Blue.' (I think it's about Bob!) Without ReBoot the internet would be a very boring place because everyone knows that all of the intresting people on the internet are ReBoot fans. Without ReBoot our lives would be extremely dull, and meaningless. Without ReBoot you would not be reading any of these essays! Without ReBoot where do you think our computer/television technology would be today? (Not as far as advanced as it now, probably!)
In conclusion, can you imagine there NOT being a ReBoot? Can you imagine no green guys whom you actually find pretty cute? (Matrix) The same with the blue guys! Can you imagine not coming home everyday, flipping on over to Reboot, and watching our heroes in action? I think not.

Why ReBoot Is The Last Home For HumanKind
By Jada

First and foremost - it is a television show with a plotline. Yes, I know that might be a shock to you all out there, but there IS actually a TV program that has a PLOT! It seems to be such a trivial concept these days, but our friends at Mainframe have taken a bold step into the world of the unknown and given their show a continuing storyline! And not only does it have a storyline, but it also contains the rarity known as believable characters! (This feat is made even more amazing by the fact that these 'believable characters' live inside a computer.) These lovable characters are not perfect, for they make mistakes and don't always win. It portrays a sense of reality by using the unrealistic. It shows unique thought and originality! It shows the children of tomorrow that they need not conform!!!!

Ahem. Where was I? Oh yes. Conformity is bad. And ReBoot does anything but conform! It takes the idea of cartoons to a whole new level, pioneering with computer generated images, and - again - with a plotline. (Are you getting the feeling that I don't think much of today's television? Hm, yeah.) It portrays war as BAD and teaches morals! (Such as, do not ruthlessly kill your enemy, even if he DID destroy your life. He's not worth it.) ReBoot is the last hope for humankind because it is a show with depth and meaning and teaches the very secrets of our existence!

Ah-ha, another tangent. Okay, so maybe that last was going a bit far - what, are you kidding? Of COURSE ReBoot holds the secret to life! On some deep, psychological, perhaps subconscious plane, I'm sure that we are absorbing the necessary skills to further develop our society, save the environment, end world poverty and hunger, promote world peace, and find out WHERE in the Net socks disappear to when you put them in the dryer. As for those unenlightened fools who are convinced it is only a cartoon show not worth the scrutiny us true believers give it. They are merely trying to cover up the embarrassment and inferiority they feel when around those of us who can unlock the deep, dark secrets encoded in Bob's hair.

And if you'll excuse me now, I must go watch my taped ReBoot episodes again to see if the secret to the elixir of life is somehow concealed in the markings on AndrAIa's necklace. Be seein' ya!

I believe that the best show in any field of tv veiwing is reboot. I have converted a friend by the name of Ivis Flanagan to the glory of reboot. When I am lonely, I imagine Enzo and another character I made up (angel) are with me and I am not lonely anymore. I have been called a freak in 2 different lauguages and suffer daily for my like ing a cartoon. The only things that keep me happy are that I have a whole file of fanfic and that there are other americans who like this show. I have had 2 binders with reboot fanfic taken away because I was reading them during religon (ug, religon) I will still continue to down load this though if only to keep me happy. I would love to have my own website, but can't because the only thing I have of value is Poke`mon cards.

Reboot is the last hope for mankind because it has provided an alternative activity for a significant percentage of the world's youth. I, for example, have devoted a third of my long term memory to memorizing the episodes, in order. Imagine what else I could be doing! Drugs, crime, manual labor! An outrage! Also, I have attempted applying these characters to an actual band, and failed! How does that apply at all?

It taught me never to try harder than anyone else does at anything. Reboot, therefore, contributes to the education syndicate in society! Finally, it tests people limits of sanity. I am no longer what I was 5 years ago. What could explain that? Natural growth? Mental...changes? No, you silly goose! Reboot! These alterations happened not only to me, but to no less than 95% of all minors who watch Reboot.

In conclusion, Reboot represents the last hope for mankind because it possesses, teaches, and changes our youth for the better. FOR THE BETTER! Reboot!

ReBoot is not only the first ever fully animated TV series, its our only hope. So far we have tried many things to unite the world, food, water, guns, nuclear warheads. And nothing, I repeat NOTHING has worked. Now we have found the one thing that will.
           REBOOT!

Yes, ReBoot. The one thing that will unite the world. Imagine, politicions aroung the world will unite in the singular cause of more ReBoot episodes while even Tv executives will lose there juobs for not allowing more ReBoot.

It will be our one and only chance for total peace.

I think ReBoot represents the last hope for mankind because it is such a great show!! i know that was cheap, but im not good at this kind of thing (ask my language arts teacher!!) but what i am trying to say is that ReBoot has a lot of good stuff in it! For example it shows us that there is always more to something than there might appear to be...like how in eack episode there are all sorts of parodies and errors to watch for that you might not see at first. It also shows that you should always share your feelings because you wont have all the time in the net! (Bob and Dot...need I say more?) One last thing ReBoot shows that you should always try and never give up (that is unless you sing like bob). What I mean is look at bob...his car never starts but he always keeps trying to fix it.

anyway back to the point...ReBoot is a great show because it can teach you many lessons..especially if you understand Phong's advice

You would live in a world of boredom on the net. No reboot, would make you unable to wish you were a sprite or virus. No reboot would make you give up hpoe of another life form somewhere(in your computer). Worst of all you wouldnt want to go look for these websites and no thing to connect you to a million of other people. ReBoot.

The taker of my money.

I have written stories since I was ten. They sucked. I did some of my own idea, and others that were fan fiction. When I first saw ReBoot on ABC, I was awe struck.

The smooth fluid animation, the comedic episodes, the subtle seriousness, it was beautiful. When ABC dropped it, I nearly died. When ReBoot started showing on Cartoon Network, I got to see season three. After seeing it, my writing skills evolved to a new level. I've only written one so far, and I'm now writing another. ReBoot take's kid's imagination and in a sense catapults it to a new level, full of ideas. One message ReBoot portrayed, is that American cartoons (yes, I know ReBoot is Canadian) can be serious. The day I saw ReBoot was the day my future was revealed to me. Figuratively speaking. I think that ReBoot does that to a lot of people. ReBoot also helps out in other regions. The transition from season 2 to season 3 gave kids a reason to accept change. The various inserts of computer terminology help kids become more computer literate. If not for ReBoot, I still would not know what a baudway was. All in all, I thank Ian Pearson, and the crew responsible for ReBoot, for it changed my life, and I think the lives of others for the better. Thank you.

ReBoot is the world's only hope for survival.

OK, I'm exagerating a little. Actually, ReBoot has outstanding computer generated animation, amazing stories, alphanumeric character developement, and it is the only thing worthy of creating a web site for. "I couldn't have said it better myself." Dot, End Program

CGI stands for computer generated images. If you look at one, just one of ReBoot's episodes, you'll see how pixelacious CGI is. "Yah, real Alphanumeric." Enzo (V)atrix, Icons

ReBoot's stories (plots) are excellent. People inside of your computer fighting off viruses, saving sectors from games, navagating through the net... haven't I said enough to make you want to watch ReBoot over and over again. "I know I have. We all have!" Hexadecimal, Number 7.

Doesn't everyone cry when Bob was shot into the web, when Dot had thought that she had lost her little brother (enzo) to the games, and when AndrAIa was bitten by a web creature. ReBoot has a cast of characters that we care for. When Dot finally found her love for Bob, I cried. "You've caused nothing but pain and devestasion to everyone I hold dear!" Enzo (V)atrix, End Program

<http://clix.to/delreboot> is my site's URL. Del Ete's ReBoot Fan Site. My only site is all about my favorite show, the best show ever, ReBoot. "I wish I'd thought of it" Hexadecimal, Racing the Clock.

Overall, ReBoot is the best show I've ever seen and it deserves all of the honor we users can give.

ReBoot. The first ever completely computer animated show. It draws viewers from all corners of the world. The characters are like real people to millions even billions of people everywhere. If there was no ReBoot, then there world would useless to so many. Without ReBoot, life would be bleak...meaningless. Millions of cartoon viewers all over the world would turn their televisions off. No child would ever paint their siblings funny colors while they are sleeping. No teenager would ever talk like Enzo and receive funny looks. Life would be empty without Bob and Dot's relationship. Life would worth nothing without Matrix's violence and AndrAIa's skaniness. It would make the world weep twice as much as any Bob obssessed girl after watching him get shot off into the Web. ReBoot is the only reason to feel emotions for a cartoon character, and to be nice to your computer! It represents humanity because the characters feel emotions for each other, love, respect, hatrid, and occasionaly the act of kicking one anothers asciis! There would be no life without reboot, no having to get home in time to whach it, no good cartoons on, and *gasp* NO MATRIX!!!! A world without reboot would be like Santa with no reindeer!! So ReBoot is especially important to humanity, or we would be killing every sprite ever known to computer kind!!! Viruses would rule computers!! sectors would be nullified, and the Super Computer would be taken over! (ok folks i know, a little corny, what did you expect??)

The Last Hope
For Mankind and Spritekind
Alike!

By Ashla

ReBoot, Our last hope. This is what most of know. And those who don't, we must teach them. How we teach them, none of us do that the same. We each think in a different manner, so no one knows what we may learn from another. But if I was to teach one, this is how I would. I would tell them that without ReBoot, we would not have progressed to where we are now. Those who live in the computer have saved us from our systems crashing atleast a million or more times a day, Viruses, and ourselves. If you wonder what I mean, Imean that when we play the games on our computers, we are chancing sectors of many countless numbers of systems. Not to mention when we win those games, all those who were inside those games were nullified and sometimes even deleted by us. When we first saw our first episode of ReBoot, we finally saw our wrong doing. We must thank the guardians, citizens and scandisks that were inputed into our systems. We must always remember and cherish the memories of the sprites who have been deleted who have helped us in our past. We must always remember to thank those who will help us in our future. Using what knowledge we have of the past, we must use it in the future. God and User bless ReBoot.

Why ReBoot is the last hope for humankind:
By Audrey (the girl who lost her pin on icon...but had a spare!)

ReBoot is by far the last reach out to us "Users" as a cry for help and a message of peace. We, as Booters, understand the true meanings of the show, the values, the deep and complex characters, and what the animatorsmean when they put in "Susan Alexander: Twice Nightly". It is the only show out there with such an interesting plot and characters--we are truly priveleged to be fans. When times seem tough and we get caught up in all of the merchandise and the fanfic and the excess data, we can always go back to the basics; playing with our beanie nulls, playing Bobopoly, and my personal favorite, watching our taped episodes over and over until we fall asleep and have very strange dreams. Can you do that with Dragon Ball Z? Frasier? I don't think so. ReBoot also has such REAL characters, they do feel like they could be REAL people, despite thier various skin tones. The plot is a never-ending source of action, adventure, romance, and humour. Now that is why ReBoot is the last hope for humankind.

The first time I've watched ReBoot was five years ago. I was 10 years old and at this moment I didn't knew it would mean so much in my life but I knew that I loved that show. Here I am now, five years later. I still watch ReBoot and I'm eagerly waiting for new episodes in September 2001. I've met my best friend while speaking about that show and it trigger one of my greatest passion: the fact that I want to do that for a living. I know I'm not the only one who think like that. That's the power of ReBoot.

Author: Agora.Escape

In 100+ words, please describe why you feel ReBoot represents the last hope for the future of humankind....

Well, I think the most important question is not why does it represent the last hope for the future of humankind, but actually...

Why doesn't it?

Why does no one feel the way that we do? How could the masses even *bare* to site back complacently while we struggled valiantly for more shows? How could they not feel the goosebumps that coursed through our skin when we heard about the movies? How could they not hear the resounding cheer? (Oh, maybe that was just mine echoing through my own head because it was so loud...)

How can the rest of the world be so spammed Basic?

That is why ReBoot represents the last hope for the future of humankind! Because a television show can inspire me to write this essay. Because I can say "How can the rest of the world be so spammed Basic?" in a sentence. And mean it! Because I cried when Bob got home. Because I drive all of my friends batty with my incessant need to watch Cartoon Network when they'd rather be doing something else. Because I'm going through withdrawal that it's not on CN right now. Because I can't wait to write in my RPGs again. Because I'm 24 years old and it doesn't matter that people think I'm too old to like a cartoon this much. Because it's not a Cartoon: It's CGI Animation from Mainframe.

Because, because, because... Because of the wonderful things it does.

Anything that can inspire so many people so much has to be a contender for the last hope for the future of humankind.

That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

ReBoot for Humanity

Andy

ReBoot is very important for humanity for a very simple reason. It forces people to think.

The staggering amount of ReBoot fanfiction there is on the net proves that the story and characters are compelling enough that people think about them, even beyond the limits of the show. Writing, even writing the worst fanfiction, requires some mental exercise. That mental exercise gives people greater ability to think when it comes to something serious in the so-called non-ReBoot world. VH1 has done a very good collection in the interest of music education pointing out that students who study music in school, generally do better than students who do not. The music analogy extends to anything creative. Anything that encourages the creativity and the imaginations of people inevitably improves their intelligence. Generally, TV does not stimulate much thought. However, when a show has an active following as ReBoot does, it encourages creative thought. Creativity and imagination force people to think in ways they are not accustomed to. If anything will save humanity, free and open thought will.

ReBoot does not presume to say there is any one right answer. Characters are often shown disagreeing. Bob argued to stay out of the game. While we do not know what would have happened if they had gone into the game, the question remains open. There were two possible solutions to the situation, and the ReBoot characters had to choose one. Did they choose the best solution? That remains in the realm of speculation. However, the act of considering multiple solutions means characters, and viewers, have to think.

Any thought is better than none. And once a person starts thinking, it becomes hard to stop. It is easier for a person who has thought about ReBoot in a serious way to think about philosophy, religion, politics, history, science, mathematics etc. In short, life. If everyone thinks, then humanity will be better off.

Once in a generation, a work of art will come along that sets the tone for everything that will follow it. Well, OK, even if other things don't follow it, they should, crash it all! In a world where modern pop music, art, and many films absolutely stink up the artistic parts of our lives, there are certain pieces of art that actually make up for this, and make life liveable for all humanity. Of coarse, when it comes to the late 20th/early 21st century, that work of art is none other than God's gift to Cartoon Network, ReBoot.

Ah yes, ReBoot. Just keep on saying it: Re...Boot. Re...Boot. Ya gotta love it. I remember how I systematically came to love this show. I would occasionaly see season one and two eps. on ABC, but I, sadly, was not that interested; I was into that Sonic the Hedgehog cartoon, that one with the Freedom Fighters (another GREAT ABC cartoon show, unfortunately cancelled for no good reason). But seeing computer graphics used like that for the first time left images in my head; Nullzilla, Hack and Slash, sometimes that "weird girl with the sea shell," Megabyte's voice (Tony Jay IS YOUR GOD!!!) and Bob's chrome hair. I thought it was interesting, and nothing more. Then what happened, you ask? Years later, I flick on Cartoon Network, home of the two previously most important shows in my young life; Dragon Ball Z and Space Ghost: Coast to Coast. How odd I felt when I saw those childhood images again, namely Nullzilla; I felt like I had seen that one ep. a million times. I then lost interest for a couple of weeks, but soon returned. Oddly, I recognized Matrix and AndrAIa as grown up versions of themselves from the last episode I saw. I didn't understand what was happening when I saw "Icons" "Where No Sprite has Gone Before" and "Number Seven" (#7 quickly proved to be my favorite episode of any show, ever). When it all made sense again, and I read up on ReBoot history from fansites like MG's, Al's, and, long ago, the ReHuCoHa, and from that day forth, I vowed to be "geekish" in my handeling of ReBoot. I nitpick, thinking about how I would make episodes better, what I would have done with Season Four; I became a religious follower of Tony Jay, as I now watch anything with his voice in it; the Legacy of Kain, Hunchback of Notre Dame, Mighty Max, Mighty Ducks, and more. I played out my own "Alternaverse" fics in my head, having them span years and years (non-RB time) and yet never wrote them.I ballot stuff at Toonami.com; and I become pissed with Cartoon Network when they take the show off. Royally pissed. Beyond pissed. I'm talkin' New York Mets losing the World Series pissed. So God bless Gavin Blair, Bob's hair, Tony Jay's voice, Matrix's eye, Dot's plan (and Season Four emotional breakdown), Mouse's accent (MY GOD! Did I just say that?), Enzo's hyperactivity, AndrAIa's, well...you know, Hex's insanity, Phong's wisdom, and Mike's, Hack's, and Slash's combined utter stupidity. Did I metion Ray's Board, the Saucy Mare, and Daemon's religious implications? Bless it all, preserve it, and, for your love, God, GIVE US A SEASON FIVE! BRING ON THE HUNT!!!

THAT'S ALL FOR NOW!
Do you wanna be a geek too? You know what you have to do!
